Terms & Conditions – Elzaghandi Travel

Last updated: August 2026  |  Governing law: Arab Republic of Egypt

These Terms & Conditions apply to tours, desert safaris, customized itineraries, accommodation, transportation, activities, and other travel services arranged by Elzaghandi Travel.

By accepting a quotation, paying a deposit, or receiving written booking confirmation, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms on behalf of all travelers included in the booking.

1. Contract Formation

A binding booking contract is formed when Elzaghandi Travel receives the required deposit or full payment and issues written confirmation, an invoice, or another official booking document.

The client must review all names, travel dates, services, meeting points, accommodation, and itinerary information and promptly report any error.

2. Booking Responsibility

The person making the booking confirms that they are at least 18 years old, are authorized to act for all travelers named in the booking, and will communicate these terms and all trip information to them.

The booking client is responsible for providing accurate passenger details and paying all amounts due for the booking.

3. Payment Policy

A deposit is required to secure reservations. The deposit amount, balance deadline, and accepted payment method will be stated in the quotation or invoice.

Payments may be accepted by bank transfer, credit or debit card, approved payment gateway, or cash where available. The client is responsible for bank, intermediary, card-processing, gateway, and currency-conversion fees unless otherwise confirmed in writing.

Elzaghandi Travel may release or cancel services if payment is not received by the agreed deadline.

Full details are available in our Booking & Payment Policy.

4. Prices and Pricing Policy

All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) on a per-person basis for the complete itinerary unless otherwise stated.

Prices include only the services specifically listed as included in the relevant quotation, itinerary, tour, or package. Optional activities and items listed as excluded are not included.

We aim to provide transparent pricing. Mandatory supplements, additional services, and applicable processing charges will be communicated before confirmation.

Before confirmation, prices may change because of currency movements, government charges, entrance-fee increases, fuel costs, supplier rates, permit fees, or other costs beyond our reasonable control.

5. Holiday Periods and Seasonal Supplements

Unless expressly stated otherwise, quoted rates are not valid during Christmas, New Year, and Easter holiday periods. Seasonal supplements may apply to accommodation, transportation, domestic flights, camps, and other services.

Due to high demand and limited availability, early booking is strongly recommended. Current rates and availability will be confirmed at the time of reservation.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation charges depend on the date written notice is received and whether the booking falls within a peak holiday period or is subject to special supplier conditions.

The complete schedule, refund procedure, and non-refundable items are stated in our separate Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

7. Amendments Requested by the Client

Requests to change travel dates, passenger names, itinerary, accommodation, vehicles, camps, flights, activities, or other confirmed services must be submitted in writing.

Changes are subject to availability, supplier approval, and additional charges. Where a supplier does not permit an amendment, the request may be treated as cancellation of the original service and creation of a new booking.

8. Operational Changes by Elzaghandi Travel

Desert itineraries depend on weather, road and track conditions, protected-area rules, permits, vehicle access, local conditions, safety considerations, and supplier availability.

Elzaghandi Travel may reasonably adjust timings, route order, campsite, vehicle, guide, accommodation, or activities where necessary. A comparable alternative will be offered where reasonably available.

Images, route descriptions, and sample itineraries are illustrative. Natural landscapes and outdoor conditions may differ by season and weather.

9. Desert Safari Conditions and Inherent Risks

Desert travel may involve uneven terrain, sand, rocks, high or low temperatures, dust, remote locations, long driving periods, limited mobile coverage, basic facilities, camping, wildlife, and delayed access to medical assistance.

By joining a desert safari, travelers acknowledge these normal characteristics and agree to follow safety instructions given by guides, drivers, camp staff, and local authorities.

Travelers must not leave the group, campsite, vehicle route, or designated safe area without the guide’s knowledge and approval.

10. Vehicles, Driving and Seat Belts

Desert transport may include 4x4 vehicles and driving on paved roads, desert tracks, sand, and uneven surfaces. Travelers must wear available seat belts and remain seated whenever instructed.

Only authorized drivers may operate tour vehicles. Clients may not drive a supplier vehicle unless a separate written self-drive agreement expressly permits it.

Travel times are approximate and can change due to traffic, weather, checkpoints, road conditions, mechanical issues, or safety requirements.

11. Activities and Equipment

Camel riding, sandboarding, hiking, hot-air ballooning, quad biking, stargazing, camping, swimming, and other activities may be provided by independent operators and may involve additional conditions, age limits, health requirements, or waivers.

Participation is voluntary. Travelers must assess their own ability and disclose relevant limitations before participating. A guide or operator may refuse participation where reasonably necessary for safety.

12. Accommodation and Desert Camps

Accommodation and desert camps vary in location, category, facilities, electricity, water supply, bathroom arrangements, bedding, internet access, and comfort level.

Remote camps may provide simpler facilities than urban hotels. Exact arrangements will be described in the itinerary or quotation where material.

Room, tent, and bedding requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.

13. Meals and Dietary Requirements

Meals will be provided only where listed as included. Travelers must inform us in advance of allergies, dietary restrictions, or religious dietary requirements.

Reasonable efforts will be made to assist, but complete separation from allergens cannot always be guaranteed in remote locations or shared kitchens.

14. Health, Fitness and Accessibility

Travelers are responsible for assessing whether an itinerary is suitable for their health, mobility, and fitness. Relevant medical, mobility, or accessibility needs should be disclosed before booking.

Elzaghandi Travel may request additional information where reasonably necessary to evaluate safety or arrange assistance. We cannot guarantee that all desert locations, camps, vehicles, or activities are wheelchair accessible.

15. Children Policy

Children are welcome on many tours, subject to the suitability of the itinerary and supplier rules. Age-based prices and special desert-safety conditions are explained in our Children Policy.

16. Client Conduct

Travelers must behave respectfully toward guides, drivers, staff, local communities, other travelers, wildlife, cultural sites, and the natural environment.

Elzaghandi Travel may remove a traveler from a tour without refund where their behavior creates a safety risk, is abusive or unlawful, seriously disrupts the group, damages property, or disregards repeated safety instructions.

The traveler remains responsible for resulting costs, damage, fines, or alternative arrangements.

17. Environmental Responsibility

Travelers must not leave waste, damage geological formations, remove natural materials, disturb wildlife, light unauthorized fires, or enter restricted areas.

Protected-area and local conservation instructions must be followed at all times.

18. Luggage and Personal Belongings

Luggage space in 4x4 vehicles may be limited. Travelers should follow any luggage limits stated before departure and use soft-sided bags where requested.

Travelers are responsible for passports, money, electronic devices, valuables, and personal belongings. Elzaghandi Travel is not responsible for unattended, misplaced, or inadequately protected property except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

19. Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements

Travelers are responsible for valid passports, visas, permits, vaccination documents, customs requirements, and all entry or transit rules applicable to their nationality and itinerary.

Elzaghandi Travel is not responsible where a traveler is refused entry, denied boarding, delayed, fined, or unable to travel because of incomplete, invalid, or incorrect documents.

20. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. Coverage should include trip cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, repatriation, travel disruption, missed departure, activities, baggage, and personal liability.

Travelers should confirm that their policy covers desert safaris and all planned activities. Elzaghandi Travel does not provide insurance unless expressly confirmed in writing.

21. Force Majeure

Elzaghandi Travel is not responsible for failure, delay, cancellation, or alteration caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural events, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government restrictions, epidemics, pandemics, strikes, border closures, transport disruption, supplier failure caused by extraordinary events, or protected-area closures.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist and arrange alternatives where possible. Additional costs are the client’s responsibility unless recoverable from a supplier or covered by insurance.

22. Independent Suppliers and Liability

Hotels, camps, airlines, drivers, guides, activity operators, and other providers may be independent suppliers responsible for performing their own services.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability is legally established, it will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law and, where appropriate, to the amount paid for the affected service.

23. Complaints and Claims

Problems should be reported immediately to the guide, representative, supplier, or Elzaghandi Travel so that reasonable efforts can be made to resolve them during the trip.

Any unresolved complaint must be submitted in writing within 14 days after completion of the affected service and should include the booking reference, details, and supporting evidence.

24. Website Content and Intellectual Property

Website text, branding, photographs, graphics, itineraries, and original content may not be copied, republished, or commercially used without permission, except where permitted by law.

Website content is provided for general information and may be updated without notice.

25. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions and any booking contract are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation. Any unresolved dispute will be subject to the competent courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
