Elzaghandi Travel welcomes families and can adapt many itineraries for children. The following age-based pricing applies unless a hotel, camp, airline, activity provider, or other supplier confirms different conditions.
| Child’s Age | Policy |
|---|---|
| Under 5.99 years | Free of charge when sharing the parents’ room, cabin, or tent and using existing bedding. Where available, an extra bed may be provided for an additional charge of USD 100 per night. |
| 6 to 11.99 years | Charged at 50% of the adult rate when sharing with parents. A maximum of one child may receive this discounted rate per room, cabin, or tent unless otherwise confirmed. |
| 12 years and over | Charged the full adult fare. |
| One child aged 5 to 11.99 years sharing with one adult | The room, cabin, or tent will be charged at the applicable double-occupancy rate. |
A child’s age is calculated according to their age on the tour start date. A passport copy or official identification may be requested to confirm eligibility for a child rate.
Incorrect age information may result in an additional charge or refusal by a supplier.
Parents or guardians must consider whether the duration, driving time, temperature, camping arrangements, terrain, activities, and remote setting are suitable for the child.
Some itineraries may involve long 4x4 journeys, walking on uneven ground, limited bathroom facilities, basic camps, high daytime temperatures, cold nights, dust, and delayed access to medical care.
Elzaghandi Travel may recommend a modified itinerary or decline a particular activity where it is not reasonably suitable for the child’s age, health, or safety.
Children must remain under the direct supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or responsible accompanying adult at all times.
Guides, drivers, and camp staff do not provide childcare services and cannot accept sole responsibility for supervising a child.
Parents or guardians must ensure children remain seated and use available seat belts during transportation.
Child seats or booster seats must be requested before booking. Availability, type, and suitability depend on the vehicle and supplier and are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
Parents may be advised to bring an appropriate personal child seat where a specific standard or model is required.
Activities such as camel riding, quad biking, sandboarding, hiking, hot-air ballooning, swimming, and other adventure experiences may carry minimum-age, height, health, or operator restrictions.
Participation is subject to the activity provider’s rules, equipment availability, and the guide’s safety assessment. A child may be refused participation without refund where the provider reasonably determines that participation would be unsafe.
Family rooms, connected rooms, extra beds, cots, private tents, and specific bedding arrangements are subject to availability and supplier confirmation.
Parents should request any necessary sleeping arrangements, baby equipment, or special facilities before confirmation.
Parents or guardians must provide advance written notice of allergies, dietary needs, medication requirements, mobility limitations, or other information relevant to the child’s safety.
Reasonable efforts will be made to assist, but complete allergen separation or specialist facilities cannot always be guaranteed in remote camps or shared kitchens.
The accompanying adult remains responsible for carrying and administering the child’s medication.
The parent or guardian is responsible for passports, visas, consent letters, custody documents, vaccination certificates, and any other documents required for the child to travel.
Hotels, camps, airlines, balloon operators, activity providers, and other suppliers may apply different child prices or age restrictions. Confirmed supplier conditions take precedence for the affected service and will be communicated where applicable.
Child bookings are subject to the same cancellation policy as the related adult booking unless a supplier confirms different terms. Please review our Cancellation Policy.
