Cairo to the White Desert

Meet at Abdel Moneim Riad Square and travel to Bahariya Oasis. Change to a 4×4 Jeep and begin your desert safari through the Black Desert, a Bedouin village, the natural sulfur hot spring, Crystal Mountain and Agabat Valley.

Continue into White Desert National Park for sunset, followed by a traditional BBQ dinner, Bedouin tea, stargazing and overnight camping beneath the Perseid Meteor Shower.

Sunrise & White Desert Icons

Wake to a peaceful desert sunrise and enjoy breakfast at camp. Continue exploring the White Desert's famous limestone formations, including Mushroom Rock and Chicken Rock, with time to walk and take photographs.

Return through Bahariya Oasis and continue by private vehicle to Cairo.

No campsite restrooms. Guests should be prepared for a remote overnight stay and use the natural environment responsibly.

Leave no trace. The White Desert is a protected National Park. Everything brought into the desert must be taken back.

Weather permitting. Meteor visibility depends on natural weather and sky conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

Limited connection. Mobile coverage may be weak or unavailable in parts of the desert.

No natural astronomical event can be guaranteed. Visibility depends on weather and sky conditions.

What camping equipment is provided?

A tent, mattress, sleeping bag and blanket are included for the overnight stay.
